Captain William "Chris" Lucius has been actively engaged in addressing the integration of Drones and emerging Vertical Takeoff and Landing (VTOL) aircraft into the National Airspace System (NAS), focusing on both FAA regulatory compliance and practical integration challenges since 2014. Leveraging his exceptional skill set honed over his 32-year accident-free aviation career, Captain Lucius, focuses on aviation issues. He concentrates on the safe integration of drones into the NAS, tackling legal matters affecting both manned and unmanned aviation. Additionally, Captain Lucius represents pilots in actions with the FAA and is a distinguished member of the Lawyer Pilots Bar Association (LPBA) and the International Air Transportation Safety Bar Association (IATSBA).


Over a period of five years, Captain Lucius represented the Air Safety Organization of the Air Line Pilots Association. His contributions extend to critical initiatives such as the Unmanned Aircraft Safety Team (UAST) and participation in the FAA's Aviation Rulemaking Committee (ARC) for drone flights over people. He has shared his expertise on various expert panels at renowned organizations including the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE), Underwriters Laboratories (UL), Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI), Flight Safety International (FSI), Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), among others.


Accumulating over 16,000 flight hours on Airbus A319/20 and Boeing 737, 747-400, 757, 767, 777, and 787 aircraft, Captain Lucius currently serves as a Captain on the Boeing 777 for United Airlines, navigating diverse global destinations from San Francisco. His unparalleled expertise spans Drones, VTOL Aircraft, and Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM), complemented by 35 years of unwavering dedication to the aviation industry.


In addition to his outstanding contributions in the aviation sector, Captain William "Chris" Lucius extends his legal prowess to the field of bankruptcy law. As a licensed practicing attorney in the state of California and a founding executive at Ivanovic & Lucius P.C., Captain Lucius leverages his extensive legal knowledge to address complex financial challenges. Mirko Ivanovic is the Managing Partner at Ivanovic & Lucius, P.C, an attorney with extensive corporate experience, and has served as a law enforcement professional for nearly twenty years. His practice is focused on corporate consulting, estate planning, elder abuse, family law, finance, general counsel services, immigration, and personal injury law.


Before becoming an attorney, Mirko held key executive roles in both public and private entities, contributing significantly to their growth and development. He served as a top-level manager for a $1.8 billion corporation and held executive positions in consulting, finance, and marketing sectors. Additionally, Mirko actively participated on the board of directors for a non-profit organization, supporting nationwide charities through fundraising and decision-making panels.


As a law enforcement professional and supervisor, Mirko specialized in high-level investigations related to financial crimes, cybercrimes, elder exploitation, and fraud. He worked with the U.S. Secret Service Miami Electronic Crimes Task Force and collaborated closely with the FBI Financial Crimes Task Force. Mirko continues to assist law enforcement by providing specialized training on various topics. His expertise extends to authoring publications, and he remains an accomplished author. Furthermore, he educates sworn and civilian law enforcement personnel on court testimony preparation and has been a certified instructor for over a decade, covering general topics and courses related to weapons of mass destruction.


Mirko's professional journey includes holding several licenses over the years. He graduated summa cum laude from Kaplan University (now Purdue University Global) and earned his Juris Doctorate in Law from Concord Law School at Purdue University Global, where he received honors and academic accolades. Currently, Mirko is admitted to practice law within the state of California.
